Our Lady of the Cold of Solagna

The Festival of Our Lady of the Cold and Almond Brittle is the ancient festival that every December 8th, on the day of the Immaculate Conception, enlivens the village of Solagna, in the province of Vicenza, at the foot of the Grappa Massif. A celebration that intertwines the community's deep Marian devotion with the gastronomic tradition of Venetian almond brittle.

Faith, Market, and Almond Brittle

The day opens with the solemn Mass at 10:30 AM accompanied by the Santa Giustina choir; in the afternoon, vespers and the evocative historical religious procession with the band of Campolongo sul Brenta. Along the streets of the center, stalls with typical products, crafts, and the almond brittle, the true star of the festival, along with music, workshops, exhibitions, and theatrical performances. The Pro Loco sets up a food stand at the church of Santa Giustina with tripe, musetto, and sauerkraut, while the Alpini group offers its stand at the station and a funfair animates the area of the gym.
