The historic agricultural and livestock fair of the Carmagnola area
The Carmagnola Spring Fair is one of the most deep-rooted and ancient agricultural events in Piedmont. With its 562nd edition in 2026, the fair stands as a testament to the enduring bond between the town of Carmagnola, in the Province of Turin, and the culture of the land. Each year, at the start of spring, the town center comes alive with a major gathering that attracts producers, breeders, exhibitors, and thousands of visitors from across the region.
The most iconic element of the fair is the Provincial Exhibition of Piedmontese and Italian Friesian Cattle, which celebrated its 45th edition in 2026. Hosted at the Foro Boario in Piazza Italia, the event is curated by the Regional Breeders Association of Piedmont (ARA Piemonte) in collaboration with ANABORAPI, the National Association of Piedmontese Cattle Breeders, and ANAFIBJ. The Piedmontese breed, renowned for the quality of its meat, is the star of this showcase dedicated to the region's livestock excellence.
The fair unfolds as a large pedestrian loop winding through the center of Carmagnola, organized into several thematic areas:
The event is more than just an exhibition: activities begin on Friday with technical meetings and conferences aimed at industry professionals, accompanied by guided tastings focused on promoting the local livestock supply chain. It is an opportunity for discussion and in-depth analysis that reinforces the fair's role as a benchmark for the Piedmontese agricultural world.
The Carmagnola Spring Fair takes place regardless of weather conditions and represents a moment of celebration and regional promotion for both the town and the entire Province of Turin. Blending tradition, flavors, and rural culture, it is an event that unites the professional side of the agricultural sector with a popular, family-friendly atmosphere, in true Piedmontese spirit.
The 2026 edition of the Carmagnola Spring Fair confirmed its role as a major agricultural event in Piedmont. Activities began on Friday, March 6 with technical conferences, including the meeting "Piedmontese meat between quality, territory, and tradition" at the Piazza Italia Exhibition Hall.
The official inauguration was held on Saturday, March 7 at 11:00 AM at the Foro Boario in Piazza Italia, in the presence of authorities, followed by tastings of local products and the presentation of the #MercatoOltreCollina project. Over the weekend, the town center hosted the 45th Provincial Cattle Exhibition, agricultural machinery stands, markets, and family-friendly spaces.
The fair takes place in the historic center of Carmagnola (TO), with its hub at the Foro Boario in Piazza Italia. The 562nd edition was held on Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, 2026.
