The music festival in the small village of the Tortona hills, featuring blues, singer-songwriter music, and much more
Carezzano Blues is the festival that transforms the small town of Carezzano, perched on the Tortona hills in the province of Alessandria, into a landmark for lovers of great music every year. Established in March 2024, it is the result of a partnership between the Gavazzana Blues Cultural Association—active in promoting local music since 2009—and the Carezzano Pro Loco. The heart of the festival is the Società Comunale of Carezzano Maggiore, located at Via Vittorio Veneto 7, an intimate and welcoming space where you can experience music up close.
Although the name suggests blues, the Carezzano Blues program is intentionally open and diverse: from blues to singer-songwriter music, from swing to boogie-woogie, as well as tributes to great Italian and international artists. The festival is part of the "Coccinelle del Blues" (Blues Ladybugs) network, alongside sister associations Gavazzana Blues and Pasturana Blues, which have been spreading musical culture throughout the small communities of the Alessandria area for years.
Carezzano Blues evenings possess the charm of authentic experiences: a quiet village, an attentive audience, and talented musicians performing in an intimate setting. It is an experience that brings music back to its most direct form, far from large stages and close to the people. Many summer events are held outdoors in the green area adjacent to the Società Comunale, under the sky of the Piedmontese hills.
In a small town like Carezzano, a festival like this represents much more than just a series of concerts: it is a cultural hub that keeps the community alive, enhances the village, and creates opportunities for gathering. The province of Alessandria, and the Tortona area in particular, thus confirms its musical vitality with a calendar of events distributed throughout spring and summer.
The 2026 season of Carezzano Blues kicked off on May 22nd and continues in the following months with blues, singer-songwriter, and live music concerts. The festival, organized by the Gavazzana Blues Cultural Association together with the Carezzano Pro Loco, confirms its intimate and high-quality formula again this year, with evenings at the Società Comunale of Carezzano Maggiore and outdoor summer events.
Admission is generally by voluntary donation with recommended booking; the updated calendar is available on the official Gavazzana Blues Association website.
