About CapriStars

CapriStars is an annual summer award ceremony held in the Great Cloister of the Certosa di San Giacomo in Capri, celebrating outstanding figures of Italian excellence. Conceived by Massimo Turturro in collaboration with the Municipality of Capri, the event weaves together music, culture, and social responsibility. The third edition, held on June 20, 2026, honored Maestro Giovanni Allevi, a symbol of resilience, in an evening also dedicated to the inclusion of neurodivergent individuals.

CapriStars: Celebrating Italian Excellence in Capri

Every summer, the Great Cloister of the Certosa di San Giacomo—a monumental jewel in the Municipality of Capri, located in the Campania region near Naples—hosts CapriStars. This prestigious award pays tribute to the great personalities of Italian excellence. Conceived by Massimo Turturro with the company 7EVENTS and organized in partnership with the Municipality of Capri, the event transforms each edition into a meeting point for culture, local heritage, and social responsibility.

An Award Uniting Music and Commitment

CapriStars was created to celebrate artists and figures who represent the best of Italy through music, art, and human dedication. The ceremony, set in the evocative 16th-century charterhouse overlooking the Faraglioni, combines the award presentation with signature musical performances and concrete initiatives supporting the Capri community and the quality of hospitality on the island. It is more than just a gala; it is a cultural project with a strong social mission.

The 2026 Edition: Giovanni Allevi

On June 20, 2026, the third edition honored Maestro Giovanni Allevi, one of the most iconic figures in the international piano scene and a symbol of resilience. Following a piano performance, the artist shared intimate reflections on his human and artistic journey. The edition was dedicated to the themes of culture, resilience, and inclusion.

Inclusion and Local Territory

In 2026, the project was enriched by the «Capri, the island that doesn't isolate» initiative, dedicated to the inclusion of neurodivergent individuals and developed in collaboration with Link@ut. This training program was designed for Capri's hospitality operators to ensure the best possible welcome for every visitor. The event is supported by Federalberghi Capri and the Municipality's Department for Major Events.

A Growing Tradition

Since its first edition in 2024, CapriStars has brought great names of Italian music to the island, pairing gala evenings with charitable actions for the local area. The organizers are already looking toward the summer of 2027 with the ambition of achieving an increasingly international dimension, confirming Capri as an exceptional stage for the culture and beauty of Southern Italy.
