The Capri Wine Experience is a new event bringing the very best of Italian oenology to the heart of one of the Mediterranean's most iconic islands. The first edition takes place on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the Hotel La Residenza, just a short walk from the famous Piazzetta in the town of Capri, in the Metropolitan City of Naples, Campania. This elegant, intimate format is designed to foster a dialogue between great Italian wines and the island's unique landscape and culture.
The touch of Luca Gardini
The event is shaped by the artistic direction of Luca Gardini, one of Italy's most authoritative wine critics and a former world champion sommelier. His vision transforms the evening into a true journey of discovery: not merely a wine fair, but a sensory itinerary alternating between tasting stations, producer meet-and-greets, and specialized masterclasses reserved for a select audience.
Italy's finest wineries
The island will host some of the most significant names in national winemaking. Confirmed wineries include Antinori, Argiano, Ca' del Bosco, Ferrari Trento, La Spinetta, Marisa Cuomo, and Terlano, alongside other prominent producers who showcase the richness of Italy's wine regions—from mountain sparkling wines to great Tuscan reds and the crisp whites of the Campanian coast.

The evening is enhanced by a light dinner curated by Vico Pizza & Wine, bringing the gastronomic traditions of Campania to the table in perfect pairing with the featured wines, accompanied by live music throughout the event. Tastings and producer meetings
The tasting stations offer a selection of great whites, reds, and sparkling wines from various Italian wine regions. Participating wineries include Antinori, Argiano, Ca' del Bosco, Ferrari Trento, La Spinetta, Marisa Cuomo, and Terlano, alongside other leading names in national oenology.
Masterclasses by Luca Gardini
The highlight of the event is the series of masterclasses led by artistic director Luca Gardini, focusing on iconic Italian wine labels: Sassicaia, Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore, Brunello di Montalcino Vigna del Suolo by Argiano, and Cabochon by Monte Rossa (Franciacorta). A vertical tasting of Vigna del Suolo across multiple vintages is also planned. Spaces are limited and require advance booking.
Dinner and music
The experience is completed by a light dinner curated by Vico Pizza & Wine, inspired by Campanian gastronomic traditions and paired with the wines on offer, accompanied by live music throughout the evening.

Getting there
Capri is accessible by sea from Naples (Molo Beverello and Calata Porta di Massa) and Sorrento via hydrofoils and ferries to Marina Grande. From there, take the funicular or bus to the island's center. Hotel La Residenza is located at via Federico Serena 22, a short distance from the Piazzetta.
