The craft beer festival in Capena, featuring live concerts, food trucks, and a funfair
Every summer, the town of Capena, a small center in the Roman Sabina overlooking the Tiber Valley in the province of Rome (Metropolitan City of Rome Capital), in the Lazio region, transforms into a meeting point for craft beer enthusiasts. The Capena Beer Fest has become a staple of the Lazio summer calendar: established in 2014, it reached its twelfth edition in 2026, confirming its status as one of the most popular beer festivals in the area north of the capital.
The heart of the event is, naturally, the beer. The stands lined up in Piazza Donatori de Sangue offer a selection of craft beers from four great European brewing traditions: Italy, Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom. From Italian craft productions to famous Belgian labels, from German Weisse and Bock to British ales and stouts, visitors can explore dozens of different styles, with options also available for those seeking fruit beers or gluten-free solutions.
Accompanying the beers is a large food truck area with culinary specialties for every taste: from classic street food to more refined offerings designed to pair with different types of beer. The food and wine selection makes the Capena Beer Fest a true village festival, where people gather to dine outdoors on summer evenings.
Every evening, the festival features live concerts starting at 9:00 PM, with a program dedicated primarily to tribute bands of major Italian and international music acts. The 2026 edition brought to the stage Zep Set (Led Zeppelin tribute band), the rock fusion instrumental trio Triadis followed by a DJ set by Dj Osso, and the Lady Gaga tribute band Don't call me Gaga. The music, along with the funfair area for children and families, makes the event suitable for all ages.
The Capena Beer Fest is conceived and produced by Pro Loco Capena ETS, with the patronage of the Municipality of Capena, the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, and the Lazio Region. Admission is free and the festival takes place right in the town center, easily accessible and served by parking lots in the immediate vicinity. A mix of beer, good food, music, and social life that every July attracts visitors from Capena and the neighboring towns of the Sabina and the Roman hinterland.
For its twelfth edition, the Capena Beer Fest enlivened Piazza Donatori di Sangue from July 2 to 4, 2026, with three days of craft beer, gastronomy, and live music. The stands offered beers from four countries (Italy, Belgium, Germany, and the UK), accompanied by a large food truck area and a funfair for families. Free admission and concerts every evening at 9:00 PM.
Throughout the festival: beer hall with craft beers from Italy, Belgium, Germany, and the UK, food truck area, and funfair.
