About Campomagnalonga

Campomagnalonga is the most anticipated food and wine walk in Campogalliano, in the heart of the Curiel Lakes Park in the province of Modena. A route of about 6 km accessible to everyone, dotted with tasting stops where you can savor typical products of the Emilia region: tortellini, lasagna, porchetta, pizza, and local wines. Founded in 2015, it is a charity event organized by A.S.D. Virtus Campogalliano Stiolo, which annually donates the proceeds to local associations, combining taste, nature, music, and solidarity in a day of celebration for all ages.

A Walk of Taste through the Curiel Lakes

Campomagnalonga is now an unmissable spring event in Campogalliano, in the province of Modena, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. It is a non-competitive food and wine walk that winds for about 6 kilometers through the picturesque Curiel Lakes Park, amidst bodies of water, green areas, and paths immersed in nature. The route, which is flat and accessible to strollers and wheelchairs on the dirt sections, starts from the Sanctuary of the Beata Vergine della Sassola and ends at the same starting point, after a loop that touches Casa Berselli.

Tasting Stops

The heart of the event are the numerous refreshment stops distributed along the route, managed by restaurants, clubs, bed and breakfasts, volunteer associations, and local businesses. At each stop, participants can taste the excellences of Emilian cuisine and more, in a journey of flavors that accompanies the entire walk.

  • Tortellini and lasagna, symbols of Modenese tradition
  • Porchetta accompanied by beer
  • Pizza, fried mozzarella, and ice cream
  • A selection of local wines to be enjoyed with the personal glass included in the registration

Music, Celebration, and Solidarity

Campomagnalonga is not just about gastronomy: along the route, the stops are enlivened by live music, karaoke, country performances, and DJ sets, in a festive atmosphere that involves families, children, and the elderly. The event above all has a strong charitable vocation: the proceeds from registrations are donated annually to associations and solidarity initiatives in the Campogalliano area, making this walk a concrete gesture of support for the community.

A Ten-Year Story

Organized by A.S.D. Virtus Campogalliano Stiolo with the patronage of the Municipality of Campogalliano and the collaboration of numerous volunteer associations, Campomagnalonga has grown edition after edition since its debut in 2015, reaching full capacity well in advance. It has become one of the most beloved events in the local calendar, capable of combining the rediscovery of the Curiel Lakes territory with the pleasure of good Emilian food.
