The new contemporary art center in the 16th-century villas of the Riviera del Brenta
Ca' Riviera is a new contemporary art center opening in Mira, in the province of Venice, on the Riviera del Brenta, the waterway of Venetian villas between Padua and the lagoon. The project occupies two restored 16th-century villas, at via Caltana 129, transformed into a permanent hub dedicated to research and experimentation in contemporary arts. It is a laboratory open to those who wish to exchange ideas and projects, capable of creating a dialogue between architectural history, contemporary art, and the Venetian territory.
Ca' Riviera was founded by the initiative of Riccardo Corรฒ, a designer active in art and installation, and Leonardo Tiezzi, an expert in luxury and fashion communication. The opening is marked by the exhibition 'The Shape of the Self', created in collaboration with the Milanese gallery Cassina Projects, featuring works by Leonor Fini, Cecilia Granara, Yves Scherer, Chiara Capellini, and Sedef Gali. Sedef Gali's paintings on organza and Chiara Capellini's site-specific installations will remain permanently on display.
In addition to exhibitions, Ca' Riviera plans a program of artist residencies starting in August 2026 and continuous programming throughout the year, including installations and meeting points. The opening, scheduled for May 9, 2026, deliberately coincides with the inauguration of the Venice Biennale Arte, in an ideal dialogue with the major international exhibition just a few kilometers away.
