Four days of sports and the BucciRun race in Spina Azzurra Park
The Sports Festival of Buccinasco, a municipality in the province of Milan, is the event that brings together and promotes the many sports realities of the area. Organized by the Sports Department together with the New Evergreen Association, it involves hundreds of athletes and numerous associations each year in a widespread program of exhibitions, stands, and activities.
The main event is the BucciRun, a non-competitive race over 5 and 10 kilometers starting from Spina Azzurra Park. Open to adults, families, children, and teenagers, it is accompanied by a morning mini-marathon designed for the youngest, organized in collaboration with parent committees. The race combines sport and social interaction in one of the city's most beloved green spaces.
Numerous local sports associations participate in the festival – including volleyball, taekwondo, gymnastics, and dance groups – offering exhibitions and demonstrations. The event, with free admission, aims to introduce people of all ages to sports and strengthen the community fabric of Buccinasco, from athletics to various other disciplines.
In a populous and relatively young municipality like Buccinasco, on the outskirts of Milan, sport represents a powerful tool for social cohesion. The Sports Festival was created with this very intention: to network the numerous local associations and offer citizens, in a single major event, an overview of the many sports that can be practiced. Spina Azzurra Park, the city's green lung, becomes the beating heart of this festival for four days, with exhibitions, stands, and the BucciRun race. Engaging adults, families, children, and teenagers around the value of movement and participation is the challenge, renewed each year, of this free event.
The third edition of the Buccinasco Sports Festival will be held from June 4 to 7, 2026, organized by the Sports Department and the New Evergreen Association. The event involves numerous local sports associations – including Bionics, Olympia Volley, Centro Sportivo Romano Banco, Dojang Rising Hwarang, and New Evergreen – with exhibitions and stands. The highlight is the BucciRun, a non-competitive 5 and 10-kilometer race scheduled for Saturday, June 6 at 7:30 PM in Spina Azzurra Park, open to adults, families, children, and teenagers, with a mini-marathon dedicated to the youngest. Free admission; race registration on Eventbrite.
