The music night with DJs in the bars of Brunico's town centre
Bruneck tanzt! — also known by its English name Bruneck is Dancing — is the Musiknacht, a music night featuring DJs that brings the historic centre of Brunico (Bruneck) to life every spring. As the capital of the Puster Valley in the autonomous province of Bolzano, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige, the town sees its bars, pubs, and clubs turn into a constellation of dance floors for the evening: a single ticket opens the doors to over a dozen venues, each with its own DJ and musical genre.
The formula is simple and successful: buy a ticket and you are free to hop from one venue to another all night long, choosing the atmosphere that suits your mood. The musical programme is designed to cater to all generations and covers a wide range of styles:
Setting the rhythm for the night are DJs from Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, who turn Brunico into a true party town. The bilingual character of this corner of Alto Adige/Südtirol is reflected in the event's name, presented in both German (Bruneck tanzt!) and English (Bruneck is Dancing): an appointment that attracts a young and diverse crowd from across the Puster Valley and surrounding valleys.
Organised by Bruneck Kronplatz Tourismus, the event is part of a circuit of "dancing nights" held in various towns across South Tyrol (such as nearby Vipiteno/Sterzing). Brunico, at the foot of the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz ski area, offers the perfect setting: a compact and lively historic centre that is easy to explore on foot, where moving from one venue to another becomes part of the fun. This music night is one of the most anticipated events of the year to experience the nightlife of this mountain town in the Municipality of Brunico, in the Province of Bolzano.
The 2026 Musiknacht of Bruneck tanzt! was held on Friday, May 15, 2026, starting at 8:00 PM, enlivening the bars in the centre of Brunico. Once again this year, a single ticket provided access to 13 venues, each with a different DJ and genre, for a night that spanned from hip-hop to funk, techno to house, and reggae to electro swing, as well as hits from the 80s and 90s.
The DJs, hailing from Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, once again transformed the Puster Valley town into a vibrant party destination.
Brunico is accessible by car via the SS49 Pusteria road; by train, the Brunico station is served by the Puster Valley line (Fortezza–San Candido), with connections from Bolzano and the Brenner Pass.
A single ticket is valid for all participating venues: presale €12 (€10 for Cassa Raiffeisen Brunico clients), €14 at the door on the night, €8 for under-18s (at the door only). Presale tickets are available at participating venues and the Brunico tourist office.
