The Queen of the Pastures

The Bruna Valtrumplina Show is an event dedicated to the Alpine Bruna breed, the symbolic cow of mountain farming. It takes place in Collio, in the upper Val Trompia (province of Brescia), in the Piani di Naanì area, on the San Colombano pastures. This event showcases the best of local livestock farming and celebrates its culture in a highly evocative alpine setting.

Cows on Display

The stars are the Alpine Bruna breed cows (or Original Braunvieh) from the region's farms. In the 2026 edition, a selection of local goats will also be featured. The animals are judged by experts from ANARB, the National Association of Alpine Bruna Breed Breeders, in a day that is both a technical event and a farmers' celebration.

A Day at High Altitude

The show takes place throughout the day: from the arrival of the animals in the morning to the judging, culminating in the awards ceremony in the early afternoon. It's an opportunity for Val Trompia breeders to compare notes and showcase their work, and for the public to get closer to the world of mountain farming, an integral part of the Brescia region's identity.
