About Sculptors in Brufa
An open-air museum among the vineyards
Sculptors in Brufa is one of Umbria's longest-running public art projects. Born in 1987 on the initiative of the Pro Loco of Brufa in collaboration with the Municipality of Torgiano, it invites an artist each year to create a work that remains permanently along the crest of the hill and in the village of Brufa, a hamlet of Torgiano in the province of Perugia.
The road of wine and art
Edition after edition, the sculptures have multiplied, giving life to a true widespread Sculpture Park, visitable all year round. The common thread is the dialogue between contemporary sculpture and the agricultural landscape shaped over centuries by the cultivation of vines and olives: each work relates to the rows, fields, and views of the valley, in what has been dubbed 'the road of wine and art'.

The inauguration of the new sculpture, in the summer, is the central moment of Brufa in Festa, the event that accompanies the artistic project with concerts, solo exhibitions of the invited artist, presentations of critical catalogues, and festive moments in the village squares. An opportunity to discover Brufa, its landscape, and its wines, from an artistic perspective.
Sculptors in Brufa — edition 2026
In August 2026, Sculptors in Brufa adds a new work to its widespread museum along the hill of Brufa, a hamlet of Torgiano. As per tradition since 1987, the sculpture's inauguration is accompanied by Brufa in Festa, with vocal and instrumental concerts, solo exhibitions, and festive moments in the village squares. The event reaffirms the link between contemporary sculpture, wine-growing landscape, and the identity of the Torgiano territory.
Programme Sculptors in Brufa 2026
The 2026 edition, scheduled for late August, includes the inauguration of the new work along the Sculpture Park path, the opening of a solo exhibition by the invited artist, and the traditional Grand Vocal and Instrumental Concert in the square. The name of the sculptor invited for 2026 and the detailed schedule will be announced by the Pro Loco of Brufa and on the website scultoriabrufa.it closer to the event.
