About Bosconero Civic Theatre

From January to May 2026, the Bosconero Civic Theatre, located in the heart of the Canavese area near Turin, hosts its annual Theatre Season: a high-quality, popular festival organized by the Officina dell'Arte association. The stage features a mix of brilliant comedies, Piedmontese dialect theatre, cabaret, and prose, all with affordable tickets. This weekend staple has been a cultural highlight for over fifteen years, drawing audiences from across the region.

A theatre season in the heart of the Canavese

The Bosconero Civic Theatre Season is the prose, comedy, and cabaret festival that brings the small town of Bosconero, in the heart of the Canavese area of the Metropolitan City of Turin, to life every year. Curated by the Officina dell'Arte cultural association, the 2025-2026 season runs from January through May 30, 2026, with a rich and varied program designed for a wide audience of all ages.

A project born from volunteerism

The Officina dell'Arte association was founded in 2009 in Bosconero by a group of volunteers with the goal of managing the municipal Civic Theatre and making it accessible to local citizens and associations. Thanks to this constant commitment, the small theatre has become a landmark for the entire Canavese area, offering a continuous program ranging from brilliant comedy to dialect theatre, and from cabaret to more thought-provoking prose.

A program of laughter and emotion

The common thread of the season is variety: it ranges from the comedy of Riccardo Forneris with Bluesteel e Rico The Clown to comedies by local troupes, from Piedmontese language theatre by the Gruppo Sud Ovest with Le Busche et Cà Dl'Era to female-led cabaret performances and reflective pieces like Artemisa and Anime Parallele. A selection designed, as the festival's slogan says, to laugh, reflect, and be moved.

Popular and accessible theatre

One of the hallmarks of the Bosconero Theatre Season is its accessibility: tickets are affordably priced to ensure everyone can attend and to introduce theatre to those who do not usually go. The shows, mostly scheduled for weekends, turn Saturday nights in Bosconero into a highly anticipated cultural event that attracts spectators from neighboring Canavese towns as well.

  • Professional and amateur troupes from the Piedmont region
