Todi's multidisciplinary festival of theatre, music, and dance
The Todi Festival is one of the longest-running and most prestigious cultural events in Umbria. Founded in 1987, it is held every year between the end of August and the beginning of September in the town of Todi, in the province of Perugia, and has been a benchmark for theatre and performing arts on the national scene for decades.
The festival's programme is deliberately multidisciplinary: theatre, music, dance, book presentations, exhibitions, and meetings follow one another in a rich schedule that features dozens of events and numerous artists each year. The festival is known for its focus on new Italian and international drama, alongside big names from the stage.
Todi's Teatro Comunale is the heart of the festival, but performances and events spread out into Piazza del Popolo and the most evocative locations in the historic centre, creating a dialogue between the artistic dimension and the city's heritage. For those visiting Umbria in late summer, the Todi Festival is an unmissable opportunity to combine quality culture with the discovery of one of the region's most beautiful medieval villages.
The 2026 edition of the Todi Festival returns at the end of summer with the usual programme of theatre, music, and dance, enriched by book presentations, exhibitions, and meetings. The Teatro Comunale and the spaces of the historic centre host the events, in continuity with the tradition of a festival attentive to new drama and performing arts.
The detailed programme for the 2026 Todi Festival has not yet been published at the time of writing this sheet: the official poster indicates "coming soon". Based on tradition, the edition features a multidisciplinary programme with:
The complete programme with titles, artists, and times will be announced on the event's official channels.
Todi is reachable by car from the E45 (Todi exit). Performances take place at the Teatro Comunale and in the historic centre.
