The literary festival of the Canavese region in Borgofranco d'Ivrea
Every spring, Borgofranco d'Ivrea, a small town in the Province of Turin located at the gateway to the Aosta Valley, becomes the capital of local culture for three days thanks to Borgolibri, a literary festival that brings together writers, publishers, readers, and enthusiasts. The event takes place at the Salone Choc on Via Guido Rossa and offers a packed program of book presentations, meetings with authors, theatrical performances, exhibitions, and activities for all ages.
Borgolibri is more than just a publishing showcase: it is an event that highlights the talent of writers from the Canavese and the nearby Aosta Valley, weaving together historical memory, local traditions, and contemporary literature. Alongside local voices, the festival hosts nationally renowned guests, cultural awards, and projects that tell the story of the identity of these Alpine borderlands between Piedmont and Aosta.
Borgolibri is organized by the Associazione Luci in collaboration with Edizioni Pedrini and is supported by the Municipality of Borgofranco d'Ivrea, the Metropolitan City of Turin, and CNA Editoria Piemonte. Admission to all events is free, making it the perfect opportunity to discover the literary side of the Canavese and combine your visit with a stroll through the local villages and vineyards.
The sixth edition of Borgolibri brought Borgofranco d'Ivrea to life from May 29 to 31, 2026, confirming the festival as one of the key cultural events in the Canavese region. For three days, the Salone Choc hosted book presentations, theatrical shows, exhibitions, and side events, along with the unmissable second-hand and antique book market open throughout the event.
The 2026 edition renewed the bond between the Canavese, Piedmont, and the Aosta Valley, giving space to local authors and regional proposals, always with free and open access.
All events are held at the Salone Choc on Via Guido Rossa, in Borgofranco d'Ivrea (TO), in the Canavese region.
