The beer festival in the heart of Borgotaro
Borgobeerfest is the beer festival in Borgo Val di Taro, a town in the Apennines in the province of Parma, in Emilia-Romagna. Born from the collaboration between local businesses, the event brings an evening entirely dedicated to beer and conviviality to the heart of Borgotaro, with the town's streets and squares becoming the setting for a large open-air celebration.
The festival is organized by the Borgotaro Bartenders Association, which for the occasion teams up under the motto 'unity is strength'. Bars and venues in the historic centre set up tables and benches outside their premises, transforming the entire village into a continuous route to move from one serving point to another, tasting beers accompanied by snacks and gastronomic specialities.
The heart of the evening is, of course, beer, with a selection that in past editions has also featured major German brands, served on tap at tasting points scattered throughout the streets. Accompanying the mugs are street food and a soundtrack rich in live music and DJ sets, which liven up the centre until late at night and make Borgobeerfest one of the most anticipated events of the Borgotaro summer.
Borgo Val di Taro, known to everyone as Borgotaro, is one of the main centres of the upper Val Taro, world-famous for its IGP porcini mushroom and its compact, welcoming historic centre. Borgobeerfest is part of a summer calendar of festivals, fairs, and events that highlight the hospitality tradition of this corner of the Apennines, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to gather and experience the village during the warm season.
With its format spread across the town's venues, Borgobeerfest combines the informal atmosphere of a street festival with the pleasure of good beer in company. It is an event designed for everyone, from families to groups of friends, who choose Borgotaro to spend an evening of taste, music, and togetherness.
The 2026 Borgobeerfest will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, starting at 4:00 PM, in the historic centre of Borgo Val di Taro. The detailed program for the evening, including musical performances and activities at individual venues, will be announced by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event through the official channels of the Municipality and the bartenders' association.
