The Borgo Rivola Swap Meet is one of the most anticipated events in the spring calendar of the Senio valley. It takes place every first of May in the small hamlet of Borgo Rivola, in the municipality of Riolo Terme, province of Ravenna, and transforms the village into a large open-air market driven by a passion for collecting, reuse, and historic vehicles. The event is organized by the Pro Loco Borgo Rivola with the patronage of the Municipality of Riolo Terme.

The Recycling and Collectibles Market

The heart of the day is the recycling market: along the village streets, themed stalls and stands are set up where individuals and enthusiasts offer vintage items, collectibles, used goods, and curiosities of all kinds. It's the ideal opportunity for those who love to find a bargain, exchange items, and give new life to things that would otherwise end up forgotten in the cellar, in a spirit of recovery and sustainability that is deeply felt by the local community.

The Vintage Car and Motorcycle Exhibition

Alongside the market, the Swap Meet owes much of its appeal to the vintage car and motorcycle exhibition, organized in collaboration with local historic motoring enthusiasts. Cars and motorcycles from yesteryear are displayed in the open spaces of the village, offering visitors a small journey through automotive history and giving enthusiasts the chance to admire rare and perfectly preserved models.

Now in its 25th edition in 2026, the Swap Meet is a well-established tradition that testifies to the vitality of the Pro Loco Borgo Rivola, which is active all year round with events such as the Pumpkin and Bacarona Grape Festival and the traditional Lòm a Merz. The event is a precious opportunity to discover an authentic corner of Emilia-Romagna, nestled in the hills separating the Faenza and Imola areas, and to enjoy a day of free outdoor celebration.
