The medieval village of Bard transforms into an open-air winery with wine, food, and music
Borgo diVino in Tour is the travelling food and wine event that stops in Bard, a small town in the lower Aosta Valley dominated by the famous Fort and listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. For a long weekend, the cobbled streets of the medieval village, at the foot of the fortress, are transformed into a large open-air tasting route.
Enthusiasts can discover over 100 labels from more than 50 wineries: wines from Valle d'Aosta but also from Piedmont, Lazio, Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, Lombardy, Abruzzo, Sicily, Basilicata, Sardinia, Puglia, and Tuscany, with a stand from Portugal. The route includes an educational itinerary on the world of wine, accompanied by gastronomic specialties and the unique atmosphere of the village.
Entrance to the event area is free, and the atmosphere is enlivened by a rich musical program, with seven groups and singers alternating in the different areas of the village. The highlight is the concert by Bandabardò, scheduled for Saturday evening in the Piazza d'Armi of the Fort. Promoted by Valica and the association I Borghi più belli d'Italia, Borgo diVino in Tour combines the quality of good drinking, the medieval atmosphere, and the enhancement of heritage, in one of the most evocative settings in Valle d'Aosta.
