Music, flavors, and solidarity in the heart of Mesagne
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Boccale d'Oro is one of the most anticipated summer events in Mesagne, a charming town in the Province of Brindisi, located in the heart of northern Salento, Puglia. Originally created to liven up mid-August evenings, the event has established itself as a beloved tradition that perfectly balances music, great food, and solidarity. The setting is the stunning Piazza Orsini del Balzo in the historic center, right at the foot of the Norman-Swabian Castle, where for three consecutive nights, audiences of all ages gather for a free, shared celebration.
The Boccale d'Oro program centers on live music, featuring tribute bands and ensembles that revisit the greatest hits from the 80s to the present day. Each evening offers a unique show, ranging from pop and rock to Eurodance, designed to get entire families dancing and singing along. Hosted by radio personalities and curated with artistic precision, the event guarantees an engaging rhythm with over twelve hours of total entertainment spread across the three days.
Alongside the main stage, the festival is enriched by food stalls and markets that showcase local products. The undisputed star is the Gruit craft beer, produced by a local brewery in the Brindisi province, which pairs perfectly with local gastronomic specialties in a culinary journey designed to complete the evening experience. It is the ideal opportunity to discover the flavors of Salento in a convivial and informal atmosphere.
The hallmark of Boccale d'Oro is its commitment to charity. The festival pairs entertainment with high-value social initiatives, such as the blood drive promoted in collaboration with the Transfusion Center of the Perrino Hospital in Brindisi and the local Avis, with a mobile unit set up directly in the square. In this way, the event becomes not just a moment of leisure, but a concrete opportunity for community awareness and civic engagement for the people of Mesagne.
Patronized by the Municipality of Mesagne and included in the city's summer event calendar, Boccale d'Oro is a symbolic appointment of the local Ferragosto. Its format, which blends entertainment, gastronomy, and solidarity, has made it an identity-defining event capable of attracting both residents and tourists visiting the Salento area of Brindisi. Dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced; traditionally, the festival takes place in mid-August, coinciding with the Ferragosto holidays.
