Blockchain Week Rome has established itself in just a few years as the leading Italian event dedicated to blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and the Web3 universe. The event takes place in Rome, the capital of the Lazio region, within the Palazzo dei Congressi in the EUR district: a rationalist building of great architectural impact that offers over 6,000 square meters of exhibition space.
The choice of the EUR district is no coincidence. Designed in the 1930s and completed after the war, it is now the city's business and convention hub, home to numerous companies and institutions—a setting naturally suited to a business event focused on innovation, with excellent connections to the historic center and Fiumicino Airport.
The format follows the classic structure of major international tech summits, spread over two intense days. The program alternates between educational sessions and business opportunities:
Recent editions have dedicated significant space to the issues reshaping the sector in Europe: the impact of the MiCA Regulation on European crypto businesses, the evolution of stablecoins, the opportunities in decentralized finance (DeFi), the tokenization of real-world assets, and the integration of artificial intelligence and blockchain. Alongside technical aspects, legal and tax issues—a topic of particular interest to the Italian audience—are also addressed.
Past editions have featured some of the most well-known names in the sector as partners or exhibitors, including Binance, Tether, Polkadot, Visa, Ledger, and Crypto.com. This presence explains why the event is considered a benchmark not only nationally but for the entire Mediterranean area.
The first edition was held in a simple hotel conference room; since then, growth has been steady, leading to the current venue at the Palazzo dei Congressi and a turnout of over 4,000 participants recorded in the 2025 edition, the sixth in the series, held on May 9th and 10th. The event is organized by Blockchain Management SL.
The audience is intentionally diverse: alongside professional operators—funds, exchanges, law firms, and companies evaluating tokenization projects—there is always a significant portion of enthusiasts and newcomers approaching the sector for the first time. The organizers have frequently offered discounted rates for students, reflecting their commitment to the educational aspect of the event.
Those arriving in the capital for the event can easily combine the conference experience with sightseeing. From the EUR district, it takes just a few minutes by metro to reach the historic center, while the district itself is worth a walk to see the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, the lake, and the local museums. It is a way to discover a side of Rome beyond the postcards—more contemporary and constantly in motion.
As of our latest check, no official dates have been published for the new edition of Blockchain Week Rome. The event's official website is temporarily undergoing updates, and the organization's social media channels have not yet released an announcement regarding 2026.
The reference remains the 2025 edition, the sixth, which took place on May 9th and 10th at the Palazzo dei Congressi in the EUR district with over 4,000 participants. Those wishing to attend are invited to follow the official event profiles, where dates, venue, and registration openings are typically announced first.
