Meetings, dialogues, concerts, and shows on the Bible and contemporary culture
The Biblical Festival was born in Vicenza in 2005 as a cultural event capable of fostering dialogue between the biblical text and the major themes of the present. Meetings, dialogues, lectio magistralis, concerts, shows, and guided experiences make up an interdisciplinary program that spans theology, philosophy, science, arts, psychology, sports, and contemporary social issues.
The event is itinerant and polycentric: each year it involves ten cities โ including Vicenza, Verona, Padua, Treviso, Rovigo, Conegliano, Chioggia, Genoa, Alba, and Catania โ interpreting a common theme in different locations. In Vicenza, the festival's historic home, events are concentrated in Palazzo Thiene and numerous other city venues.
Alongside events for the general public, the festival offers formats dedicated to families and children, such as "Il Piccolino". Concerts, meditations, and shows complete an offering that makes the Biblical Festival one of the most recognized cultural events in the Veneto region, capable of bringing spiritual and intellectual reflection outside traditional venues, into the heart of Vicenza.
The 22nd edition of the Biblical Festival is themed "The Power of Limit", understood as a constitutive dimension of the human being and not merely an obstacle. In Vicenza, the central events take place from May 19 to 24, 2026, while in the province the festival begins earlier, from May 14 to 17. The main city venue is Palazzo Thiene.
