Christmas Markets — Christmas in Vicenza

Christmas in Vicenza returns in December 2026 to light up the Palladian historic centre with markets, illuminations, and festive initiatives.

Along Corso Palladio and in Piazza dei Signori, at the foot of the Palladian Basilica, the chalets offer artisan products, gift ideas, and typical gastronomy; in Piazza San Lorenzo, Santa's House welcomes children, alongside a creative village with workshops and shows. Organised by the Municipality of Vicenza with Confcommercio. Precise dates and detailed programme to be announced in the weeks prior.

Christmas in Vicenza 2026 — December, historic centre

Usual structure of the Christmas event:

• Markets along Corso Palladio and Piazza dei Signori: artisan products, handmade items, antiques, food and wine specialties
• Santa's House in Piazza San Lorenzo, with a creative village, workshops, meetings, and shows (especially on weekends)
• Illuminations and lighting in the historic centre and neighbourhoods
• A rich calendar of events throughout the city for the entire festive period

How to get there

Vicenza's historic centre is a short walk from the train station. It is advisable to use the car parks around the centre, some of which are pedestrianised during the holidays.
