About Terrestri d'Estate
Theatre that meets the landscape
Terrestri d'Estate is the summer review of contemporary theatre organized by La Piccionaia, a theatre production center, for the Municipality of Vicenza. Created to bring theatre outdoors and among people, the review transforms city gardens, parks, and landscapes into stages, blending performance, nature, and participation.
Five directions
The program is divided into five strands: the Terrestri Evenings dedicated to contemporary theatre in the garden of the Teatro Astra; Curious Families for children and families; the itinerant Silent Play, headphone experiences that traverse the city; La Corte dei Bambini in San Vito di Leguzzano; and the Carpaneda Ecofestival, dedicated to the encounter between theatre and the environment.
A growing review
Over the years, Terrestri d'Estate has expanded its spaces, involving the city parks of Vicenza and opening up to an increasingly broad, even international, audience. It has become one of the central events of the summer program in the city of Vicenza, in the Veneto region.
Terrestri d'Estate — edition 2026
The IX edition of Terrestri d'Estate takes place between June and September 2026, curated by La Piccionaia for the Municipality of Vicenza. The program is divided into five strands: Terrestri Evenings, Curious Families, itinerant Silent Play, La Corte dei Bambini in San Vito di Leguzzano, and the Carpaneda Ecofestival, now in its IV edition.

Itinerant Silent Play
- June 19 and July 3 — starting from Teatro Astra
- June 26 and July 17 — «Palladian Geometries», from the Scalette di Monte Berico
- August 1 and September 5 — «The Water Gate», packraft experience on the Retrone river
Carpaneda Ecofestival (IV edition)
- September 11-13, 2026
The program is completed by La Corte dei Bambini in San Vito di Leguzzano and the Curious Families activities.

How to get there
The Teatro Astra is in the center of Vicenza, reachable on foot from the station. The various events take place in different parks and locations in the city. By car, take the A4 motorway exits Vicenza Est/Ovest.
Tickets
Tickets for individual performances and information are available from La Piccionaia (piccionaia.org). Some family and itinerant events have dedicated booking procedures.
