The craft beer and rock festival in the historic center of Bolsena
Every summer, the historic center of Bolsena—an elegant village overlooking the lake of the same name in the province of Viterbo, in the heart of the Tuscia region—transforms for two evenings into a grand stage dedicated to craft beer and rock music. Born from the passion of the Associazione Bella Gente, BeerRock has become one of the most anticipated summer events on the lake, successfully blending great music, conviviality, and the discovery of independent breweries in one of the most evocative settings in Lazio.
The format is simple and effective: selected stalls distributed along the squares and alleys of the medieval village guide the public on a true journey of fine drinking, from the most aromatic IPAs to the most structured Stouts, passing through light, amber, and bottom-fermented styles. Each evening, various bands take turns on the stages set up in the historic center, ranging across the many shades of rock: emerging voices, established artists, and new sounds from the independent scene meet in an engaging and informal atmosphere.
To accompany the pints, there is a large street food area designed to pair the best street specialties with the rich selection of beers. Between a tasting and a concert, BeerRock becomes an opportunity to experience Bolsena in a different way, among the people, under the stars, with the lake as a backdrop. Over the years, the event has seen the participation of numerous craft breweries from the region and beyond, confirming itself as a showcase for Italian brewing culture.
Located on the shores of the largest volcanic lake in Europe, Bolsena is a jewel of the province of Viterbo, famous for the Basilica of Santa Cristina, the Eucharistic miracle, and its medieval historic center dominated by the Rocca Monaldeschi. Participating in BeerRock also means rediscovering this corner of Lazio, amidst history, nature, and good food, in a context where the festival becomes a promotion of a territory rich in charm.
BeerRock returned to Bolsena (VT) on Friday, July 3rd, and Saturday, July 4th, 2026, enlivening the squares and alleys of the historic center with its well-established formula: craft beers, rock concerts, and street food. Organized by the Associazione Bella Gente, the edition confirmed the event as one of the most anticipated summer appointments on Lake Bolsena, with free admission.
By car: Bolsena is reached via the Via Cassia (SS2), about 35 km from Viterbo and 130 km from Rome. By train, the reference station is Orvieto, on the Rome-Florence line, connected to Bolsena by bus lines. The nearest airports are Rome Fiumicino and Rome Ciampino.
Free parking is available on Via Santa Maria della Pace (a few minutes' walk from the center), Via Roma, and Via Terni Farfa.
Admission is free; for tastings, you can purchase tokens or glasses at the stands. We recommend following the official social media channels (Instagram @_beerrock_ and the Associazione Bella Gente page) for the updated program and band line-up.
