Bassano del Grappa Carnival

The 2026 edition of the Bassano del Grappa Carnival revolves around the grand parade on Sunday, February 15th, and the day dedicated to children on Tuesday, February 17th. The event is organized by the Municipality with Pro Bassano, under the direction of Claudio Prospero.

The parade of allegorical floats, opened by the majorettes of Nove and the BandOrchestra G. Bovo of Carmignano di Brenta, winds through the historic center with the Nason d'Oro contest. The funfair remains set up at Prato Santa Caterina until February 23rd.

Sunday, February 15th — Grand Parade

• 2:30 PM — Departure of the allegorical float parade from Via Velo
• Route: Viale Venezia, Viale delle Fosse, Piazza Libertà, Piazza Garibaldi, up to Piazzale Cadorna
• Opening with the Majorettes of Nove and the BandOrchestra G. Bovo of Carmignano di Brenta
• Nason d'Oro contest for the best floats and masked groups

Tuesday, February 17th — Children's Day

• From 2:30 PM — Registration for the Bautina d'Argento contest in the town squares
• Baraca & Boratì puppet show
• 5:00 PM — Awards ceremony

Until February 23rd

• Funfair at Prato Santa Caterina with attractions for all ages

How to get there

Bassano del Grappa is reachable by train (lines from Venice, Padua, and Trento) and by car via the SP248. The parade winds through the historic center; the funfair is located at Prato Santa Caterina.

When

The main parade is held on Carnival Sunday; the children's party on Shrove Tuesday. The funfair remains open for several days.
