A Festival of Bands and Tables
In the heart of the Bolognese plain, the Municipality of Minerbio (Metropolitan City of Bologna, Emilia-Romagna) hosts one of the most beloved events in the area every year on the first weekend of July: the Band Festival of the City of Minerbio and Tagliatelle Fair. The event combines two souls that have always coexisted in Minerbio: band music, preserved by the city's Band Corps, and the conviviality of Emilian cuisine, celebrated around tagliatelle rolled with a pin.
Origins
The festival began in 2003 from a simple and affectionate habit within the band: after rehearsals, someone would bring cakes or pizza to share with fellow members. From that gesture of friendship, the desire arose to extend this conviviality to the entire community, giving life to a festival that today attracts band groups from various regions of Italy. The Band Corps of the City of Minerbio, an association and music school active since 1955, is the organizational heart of the event.
Music and Entertainment
The program revolves around the parades and concerts by guest bands, which liven up the streets and the event arena of the town. Alongside the band music, there is space for the vintage car exhibition, evening musical performances, live dancing entertainment with ballroom dancing, and markets with various stalls.
Tagliatelle Takes Center Stage
The food stand is the true engine of the festival. You can enjoy tagliatelle in many variations—with ragù, with ham, with wild boar ragù, with onions—as well as tortelloni. For main courses, there's ham with melon, grilled meats, fried dishes, and tagliata with Grana Padano and rocket, accompanied by homemade side dishes and desserts.

The event venues are the Centro Sociale Primavera at Via Roma 13/C and the Arena spettacoli at Via A. Costa, in the Coop supermarket area. It opens in the evening (7:00 PM), and on Sundays, it also opens at midday. Admission is free.

Band Festival Minerbio — edition 2026
The Band Festival of the City of Minerbio and Tagliatelle Fair returns in 2026 from Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 5th, maintaining the usual first weekend of July schedule. The venues are the Centro Sociale Primavera (Via Roma 13/C) and the Arena spettacoli on Via A. Costa, in the Coop supermarket area in Minerbio (BO).
Opening hours are from 7:00 PM on Friday and Saturday evenings, while on Sunday, the stands also open at midday (12:00 PM). Admission is free; no reservations are accepted at the food stand.

Getting Here
Minerbio is located in the plain about 20 km northeast of Bologna. By car, it can be reached from SP5 "Bologna-Malalbergo" or from the Altedo exit of the A13 Bologna-Padova highway. By train, the reference station is Bologna Centrale, connected to Minerbio by intercity buses.
