The festival of sustainability and green living in the village of Mulazzo
Bancarel'Green is born in Mulazzo, an ancient village in the Lunigiana region in the province of Massa-Carrara, at the northern tip of Tuscany. Promoted by the Municipality of Mulazzo, the event is dedicated to environmental sustainability and respect for nature: two days to rediscover the value of natural products, creative recycling, and a more environmentally conscious lifestyle. The appointment is set for October 10th and 11th, 2026, in the scenic Piazza Malaspina, at the foot of the village tower.
The event features a themed market with selected exhibitors focused on eco-sustainability, alongside activities, exhibitions, and initiatives designed to raise awareness among adults and children about environmental issues. Highlights include:
The organizers' stated goal is to raise community awareness through concrete experiences, while simultaneously enhancing the village and its social fabric, which remains authentically local.
Mulazzo is one of the most fascinating villages in Lunigiana, a land linked to the memory of Dante Alighieri, who was a guest of the Malaspina marquises, and to the famous hamlet of Montereggio, the "village of booksellers," the only Italian town included in the international Book Town circuit. The Mulazzo event calendar is rich with appointments that weave together culture, traditions, and local products: from the historic Bancarel'Vino to the recent Bancarel'Miele, dedicated to the PDO honeys of Lunigiana. With Bancarel'Green, the family of Mulazzo "Bancarelle" festivals is enriched with a new event that looks toward the future and the environment.
Visiting Bancarel'Green means experiencing the autumn of Lunigiana in a setting of rare beauty, among chestnut groves, woods, and ancient stone villages. An ideal choice for those seeking an outdoor experience that is environmentally conscious and immersed in genuine village hospitality, in one of the greenest and least-known areas of Tuscany.
Bancarel'Green, the new sustainability festival of Mulazzo, debuts in the autumn of 2026. On October 10th and 11th, Piazza Malaspina hosts a market dedicated to natural, organic, and zero-kilometre products, eco-friendly crafts, and creative recycling. The program is enriched by activities, exhibitions, and initiatives designed to raise public awareness about environmental issues and eco-conscious lifestyles, in a weekend immersed in the nature of the Tuscan Lunigiana.
At the moment, the detailed program, including times and the list of exhibitors, has not yet been published: more information will be released by the Municipality of Mulazzo closer to the event date.
Bancarel'Green takes place on October 10th and 11th, 2026 in Piazza Malaspina, in the historic center of Mulazzo (MS), ZIP code 54026.
