A journey through the music and flavors of Ossola

BacEnoTour is a multi-stage route designed to showcase the local area, live music, and regional products. The event takes place in the municipality of Baceno, in the Antigorio Valley, at the foot of the Upper Ossola mountains, in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Piedmont. The concept is simple and evocative: walk through the village hamlets following a thread of musical notes and gourmet tastings, in a convivial atmosphere that brings the community together and welcomes visitors.

The organizers: Baceno Music Band

The event is curated by the Baceno Music Band, one of the oldest and most deeply rooted institutions in the area: founded in 1864, it has over forty members and celebrated its 160th anniversary in 2024. Its repertoire ranges from traditional marches and parade music to dixieland, arrangements of modern hits, and classical music. With BacEnoTour, the band brings its passion to the village streets, transforming the town into a sprawling stage.

The Baceno area

Baceno is a small mountain village divided into numerous hamlets — including Croveo, Cuggine, Osso, Beola, Graglia, and Uresso — scattered among forests and ancient stone clusters. The village is dominated by the monumental church of San Gaudenzio, one of the most important sacred buildings in the Ossola region, and serves as one of the gateways to Alpe Devero, a protected area and a favorite destination for hikers. This alpine setting provides a natural backdrop for the route, offering panoramic views and an authentic mountain atmosphere.

A growing, youthful event

Born in 2025 with an inaugural edition that received a warm public response, BacEnoTour returns as a summer fixture capable of combining regional promotion, musical tradition, and food and wine culture. A simple and genuine format, designed for those who love to walk, listen to good music, and savor the tastes of the Piedmontese mountains.
