The review of evenings dedicated to mountains, travel, and adventure at the Cultural Center of Marano sul Panaro
Azione Natura is one of the longest-running cultural reviews in the Municipality of Marano sul Panaro, a small town in the Province of Modena overlooking the Panaro valley, in Emilia-Romagna. Born in the late eighties, the review has spanned the decades, maintaining its formula intact: for four consecutive Thursdays in March, the Cultural Center of Marano opens its doors to those who love mountains, great journeys, and adventure, hosting mountaineers, explorers, ski mountaineers, and photographers who recount their exploits.
The recent edition carries the theme "Remaining open to the beauty of the earth", an invitation to look at the wild world with wonder and responsibility. Each evening is a story told through images, videos, and direct testimonies: from the peaks of the Himalayas and Karakoram to the wild areas of the Central Apennines, from ski mountaineering to high-altitude expeditions beyond eight thousand meters. There are also insights into solidarity and environmental protection, with the involvement of organizations like Rewilding Apennines, committed to protecting Apennine wildlife, and benefit projects linked to mountain communities in Pakistan and Nepal.
Azione Natura was conceived and curated by Manuel Lugli, an organizer of trips, treks, and expeditions with his agency "Il Nodo Infinito" and a ski mountaineer for over forty years, who has collaborated with many of the strongest mountaineers on the Italian and world stage. It is this direct experience that gives the review an authentic edge, far from sensationalism: the guests are the real protagonists of their adventures, and the public experiences the evenings as a close dialogue with those who have truly lived these places.
Supported by the Municipality of Marano sul Panaro, Azione Natura is a free event that attracts enthusiasts from all over the Province of Modena and neighboring valleys. The evenings, often accompanied by photographic exhibitions set up in the Cultural Center's spaces, have become a winter meeting point for those seeking inspiration among the Apennine peaks and the world's landscapes.
The 37th edition of the Azione Natura review, curated by Manuel Lugli, was held at the Cultural Center of Marano sul Panaro (MO) for four consecutive Thursdays in March, with the theme "Remaining open to the beauty of the earth."
The evenings, with free admission, took place starting in the evening in the spaces of the Cultural Center of Marano sul Panaro.
