Great international jazz in the heart of the Comino Valley
The Atina Jazz Festival is one of the longest-running and most acclaimed jazz events in Central Italy. Established in 1986, it takes place every July in Atina, a small town perched in the Comino Valley, in the province of Frosinone, southern Lazio. The beating heart of the event is Piazza Guglielmo Marconi, the historic setting that has hosted the biggest names in international jazz on its stage for decades, under the summer sky of the Ciociaria region.
In 2026, the festival reaches the forty-year milestone with an ambitious program. From July 15th to 19th, five evenings in Piazza Marconi (concerts start at 9:30 PM) will traverse classic and contemporary jazz, Brazilian bossa nova, and soul, bringing world-class performers to Atina. Alongside the Main Stage, the After Festival events provide a platform for emerging bands, original projects, and genre-blending performances, expanding the musical experience into the streets and courtyards of the village.
What makes Atina Jazz special is the dialogue between great music and a unique environmental context: an ancient village, nestled in the greenery of the Comino Valley, where jazz has become part of the local identity over the years. The festival acts as a driver for cultural tourism throughout the region, successfully combining artistic excellence with the discovery of one of the most authentic and lesser-known corners of Lazio, featuring Ciociarian gastronomy, nature, and historical heritage.
Beyond the main July festival, Atina Jazz has developed a winter counterpart over time, Atina Jazz Winter, which brings music to the colder months. The festival is organized by the Kunoichi Promotion Agency, with the support of the Municipality of Atina and the institutions of the Comino Valley, and is now a benchmark for jazz enthusiasts across the Lazio region and beyond.
Five evenings on the Piazza Marconi Main Stage, all starting at 9:30 PM:
Alongside the main stage, the After Festival events feature emerging bands, original projects, and fusions of jazz, electronic, and world music.
Atina can be reached by car via the A1 motorway (exits Cassino or Pontecorvo/San Giovanni Incarico), continuing towards the Comino Valley. The nearest train station is Cassino, on the Rome-Naples line, from where you can continue by car or local bus lines.
Season tickets and concert tickets for Piazza Marconi are available online on the i-ticket.it portal, in the section dedicated to Atina Jazz.
Concerts start at 9:30 PM. We recommend arriving early to find parking in the historic center and booking your accommodation in the Comino Valley well in advance, as it is very popular during the summer season.
