The travelling festival of artisanal chocolate arrives in Piazza Chanoux
Art & Ciocc - Il Tour dei Cioccolatieri is the travelling festival of artisanal chocolate that visits major Italian cities every year, including Aosta. For three days, the central Piazza Chanoux, the main square of the Aosta Valley's capital, is filled with fragrant stands where master chocolatiers from all over Italy display and sell their creations. Admission is free, and the event is open continuously from morning to evening.
On the stalls, you'll find chocolates of every shape and taste: pralines, truffles, fruit and spice ganaches, macarons, chocolate bars with the most diverse flavours, the famous Cuneo specialties, spreads, and true works of art made of chocolate. Special attention is paid to everyone's dietary needs: there are plenty of gluten-free, organic, and vegan products. For children, there are free workshops dedicated to chocolate and play.
Included in the events calendar of the Municipality of Aosta and listed among the food and wine events of the Aosta Valley on the regional portal Lovevda, Art & Ciocc is one of the most beloved events of early spring in Aosta. The festival combines the festive atmosphere of a market with the storytelling of artisanal craftsmanship, in a city already known for its tradition of fairs and crafts like the Fiera di Sant'Orso.
The 17th edition of Art & Ciocc in Aosta enlivened Piazza Chanoux from Friday, March 6th to Sunday, March 8th, 2026, with continuous opening hours from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Master chocolatiers from all over Italy presented chocolates of every shape and taste: truffles, fruit and spice ganaches, pralines, macarons, chocolate bars with infinite flavours, Cuneo specialties, and spreads, with a wide range of gluten-free, organic, and vegan products. A new feature this edition was the "Imparo Giocando" workshop with Tuscan master chocolatier Giusy Sireci, dedicated to children.
Throughout the event: tastings and direct sales of pralines, truffles, chocolate bars, spreads, and chocolate art objects, with gluten-free, organic, and vegan options.
Piazza Chanoux is in the pedestrian centre of Aosta, a few minutes' walk from the train station. By car: take the A5 Turin-Aosta motorway, exit at Aosta, and use the car parks surrounding the historic centre.
Continuous opening hours, approximately from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Free admission. Purchases are made directly at the individual chocolatiers' stands.
The free workshops for children have limited places: it's advisable to arrive early. Aosta offers numerous accommodation facilities in the city and nearby towns.
