Five months of events in the historic center of Arienzo, featuring music, sports, food, wine, and culture

The Arienzo Summer Village is the most anticipated summer event in Arienzo, a small village in the province of Caserta, Campania, nestled between the Partenio mountains and the Suessola valley. Promoted by the Municipality of Arienzo together with the Pro Loco and local associations, the festival transforms the historic center into a widespread stage for an entire semester, from May to September, with dozens of events ranging from music to sports, and from food and wine to culture.
The Village formula is that of a popular, itinerant festival: events are not concentrated in a single location but spread across the town's squares, churches, parks, and streets. Over the years, the public has enjoyed concerts of Neapolitan music, cabaret and comedy nights, street performer shows, saxophones and violins playing through the alleys, as well as art exhibitions and installations. There is also plenty for children, with entertainment and games dedicated to families.
An important part of the program is dedicated to sports, with the traditional "Month of Sport" and games involving local youth and associations. Food and wine take center stage with folk evenings and festivals celebrating local products, including the famous fresella accompanied by watermelon, along with street food exhibitions and truck shows that fill the streets with delicious aromas. The festival also engages with the patronal feast at the end of June, the beating heart of the community's identity.
One of the most spectacular moments of the Arienzo Summer Village is linked to the fireworks: the dancing fountains, the "Cisternone Fire" display, and the grand finale of the "Fireworks Festival" close the summer by illuminating the sky over the Caserta village, attracting visitors from all over the province.
Beyond the entertainment, the event was born as a project for the enhancement of the town and social cohesion: from the "Literary Street" created with street art to the theater school for teenagers, the Arienzo Summer Village combines entertainment, culture, and participation, involving schools, associations, and local committees.
Located along the ancient road that connected Naples to Puglia, Arienzo preserves a historic center rich in churches and palaces. Visiting the town during the Summer Village means discovering an authentic corner of inland Campania, characterized by hospitality, good food, and a lively square life that lasts all summer long.
The 2026 edition of the Arienzo Summer Village has not yet been officially announced by the Municipality of Arienzo. Based on previous editions, the event is expected to span several months, from May to September, featuring concerts, shows, sports events, food festivals, and fireworks. The detailed program, schedules, and locations will be communicated by the organizers in the spring months: it is recommended to check the official channels of the Municipality and the Pro Loco for updates.
By car: Arienzo is accessible via the A30 Caserta-Salerno motorway (Arienzo-San Felice a Cancello exit) or the A1 motorway with the Caserta Sud exit. By train: the town is served by the railway line in the Cancello/Caserta area, with connections via bus or taxi.
Most Arienzo Summer Village events have free admission and take place outdoors in the historic center. For the updated program and schedules, it is advisable to check the channels of the Municipality of Arienzo and the Pro Loco.
