A festival to welcome summer in Pedaso

As the heat begins to build and the bathing season is just around the corner, Pedaso, a small seaside village in the Province of Fermo in the Marche region, prepares to experience one of its most cheerful days. Aperi-cozze aspettando l'estate is the event with which the local Pro Loco symbolically opens the summer season, transforming the Viale della Repubblica into a large space dedicated to fun, good food, and sharing.

For an entire day, from morning until evening, the Pedaso seafront comes alive with colors, music, and scents. It's a festival designed for everyone, but especially for families: the little ones find child-friendly play areas, while adults can relax with an aperitif and a chat, in a convivial atmosphere that is the authentic hallmark of the villages on the Marche Adriatic coast.

Between sea and tradition: the anticipation of mussels

The name of the event is no coincidence. Pedaso is indeed famous throughout Italy for its Adriatic mussels, the stars in August of the historic National Mussel Festival (Sagra Nazionale delle Cozze), one of the best-known food and wine events in the area. Aperi-cozze aspettando l'estate represents a tasty preview: a taste of the maritime culture that has always linked the Municipality of Pedaso to its sea and its products.

The food stands managed by the Pro Loco offer local specialties and dishes, to be enjoyed in the cozy relaxation areas set up along the avenue, equipped with tents, cushions, hammocks, and umbrellas for those who want to take a break of pure relaxation by the sea.

Games, music, and fun for everyone

The heart of the day is outdoor fun. Numerous play areas are set up with sports games like basketball, football, and badminton, fishing activities for children, drawing workshops, and many other recreational activities. For the little ones, there's a large inflatable, while musical entertainment accompanies the whole day until evening.

A free event, designed to bring the community back to the seafront and to welcome the many visitors who choose Pedaso and the Fermo Riviera as their destination for the first days of summer. Aperi-cozze aspettando l'estate is now an anticipated event on the Pedaso spring calendar, capable of uniting different generations in one big village festival.
