The gardening market exhibition that brings color to Anzio in May
Anzio in Fiore is the gardening market exhibition that, every year in early May, turns the center of Anzio—a city on the Nero Riviera in the province of Rome, Lazio—into a large, open-air living room dedicated to flowers and nature. The heart of the event is Piazza Pia, which comes alive from the early morning with dozens of stalls where visitors can admire and purchase cut flowers, ornamental plants, succulents, and refined floral arrangements.
The event doesn't stop at the flowerbeds of Piazza Pia. Just a few steps away, in Piazza Garibaldi, a craft market is set up with stalls curated by local artisans displaying unique, one-of-a-kind items made entirely by hand, showcasing local creativity and tradition. Visitors can stroll from one square to the other, creating an itinerary that blends nature, culture, and a love for handmade goods.
Considered one of the most awaited spring initiatives on the Lazio coast, the event attracts families, gardening enthusiasts, and tourists taking advantage of the long weekend and the first warm days of the season. Year after year, the event continues to enjoy great success and participation, thanks to the relaxed atmosphere of the historic center overlooking the sea.
The setting is Anzio, an ancient town on the Lazio coast known for its harbor, beaches, and rich archaeological heritage linked to Imperial Rome. The market exhibition is part of the Municipality of Anzio's May events calendar, which welcomes the start of the beautiful season with activities dedicated to families, children, and visitors, helping to promote the city center and its local businesses.
From May 1st to 3rd, 2026, the center of Anzio hosted a new edition of Anzio in Fiore. The inauguration, on the morning of Friday, May 1st, was attended by Mayor Aurelio Lo Fazio and the Councilor for Tourism, Valentina Corrado.
In Piazza Pia, visitors found numerous stalls with flowers, ornamental plants, succulents, and refined floral arrangements; simultaneously, in Piazza Garibaldi, the craft market featured creations handmade by local artisans. The event enlivened the weekend along with the traditional town band concert, confirming its status as one of the most appreciated events of the Anzio spring.
