Anzio Colonia Festival: The district's patronal feast

At the end of May, the Anzio Colonia district in the municipality of Anzio (Metropolitan City of Rome, Lazio) celebrates its patron saint, Maria Santissima Regina del Mondo. It is one of the most popular neighborhood festivals on the coast south of the capital. For three days, the streets around Largo Venezia and the Anzio Colonia station come alive with faith, music, and tradition, attracting thousands of residents and visitors alike.

Faith and popular devotion

The religious heart of the festival is the solemn procession of Maria Santissima Regina del Mondo, which winds through the district's streets accompanied by hundreds of faithful in a spirit of deep participation.
