Annifo Lentil Festival – 7 Days in the Mountains

The festival of the Foligno mountains

The Annifo Lentil Festival, combined with the 7 Days in the Mountains event, is the great summer festival of Annifo, a mountain hamlet of Foligno (province of Perugia) located on the Plestini Plateaus, on the border between Umbria and Marche. It is a time when the inhabitants of the small village share with visitors the unspoiled beauty of the territory, the authenticity of mountain life, and the uniqueness of their cuisine.

The lentil takes center stage

The heart of the festival is the local lentil, an excellent product of the plateaus from which simple and flavorful dishes are born. Every evening, starting at 8:00 PM, the inn opens with a menu entirely dedicated to lentils and mountain cuisine.

Not just about food

The festival is enlivened every evening by a card game tournament and music from the best Umbrian dance orchestras, which draw people of all ages onto the dance floor. During the day, local associations organize excursions on the mountain trails of the plateaus, to discover the nature of the Colfiorito Park and its surroundings.

With its many editions, "7 Days in the Mountains" is one of the longest-running and most beloved village festivals in the Foligno mountains, capable of combining gastronomy, tradition, and outdoor life.
