Four days of street performers, shows, and food trucks in the heart of Andalo
Every summer, the center of Andalo, in the province of Trento, comes alive with the Andalo Buskers Festival, four days dedicated to street performers who bring juggling, live music, comedy, and acrobatics to the town's streets and squares. Established in the early 2020s, the event has become one of the most anticipated summer highlights on the Paganella Plateau, drawing families, tourists, and curious visitors alike into a setting of meadows and Dolomite peaks.
The formula that made the festival famous is an "explosive mix": street performers, food trucks, children's workshops, shows, and widespread entertainment. Performances are concentrated in the late afternoon and evening, when the air cools down and the town center fills with crowds. Shows typically start at 7:00 PM at Andalo Life and continue at 8:30 PM in the town center, with roving acts moving the audience from one square to another.
The term busker refers to street performers who entertain live for passing crowds in exchange for applause or voluntary contributions. Past editions in Andalo have featured well-known names from the Italian circuit such as ChiaraMenta (fire, juggling, and dance), Il Signor B., Sax-Oh! with his participatory orchestra, and Mr. Ritmo with his percussion and physical theater. Alongside the shows, workshops for children—ranging from soap bubbles to circus-theater—make the event particularly family-friendly.
An integral part of the festival is the street food zone, featuring a dozen food trucks offering specialties from all over Italy: Abruzzese arrosticini, Sicilian arancine, Greek gyros, burgers, gnocco fritto, piadina, pancakes, and cocktails. The combination of great street food, shows, and music turns the evenings in Andalo into a true village festival open to everyone.
The festival takes place in Andalo, a municipality in Trentino-Alto Adige nestled between the Brenta Group and the Paganella, a popular summer and winter tourist destination. Admission to all days is free, in keeping with the grassroots spirit of street art.
From July 23 to 26, 2026, Andalo hosts a new edition of the Buskers Festival, featuring street performer shows, children's workshops, and a rich food area. Performances kick off at 7:00 PM at Andalo Life and continue at 8:30 PM in the town center, with juggling, live music, comedy, and roving performances. Admission is free for all days.
The festival spans four evenings, from Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, July 26, 2026. Shows start at 7:00 PM at Andalo Life (Viale del Parco) and continue at 8:30 PM in the center of Andalo, with roving street performer acts, children's workshops, and widespread entertainment.
