Ancient Santa Croce Fair

A fair that tells the story of the Vicenza countryside

The Ancient Santa Croce Fair is one of the traditional events in Malo, a municipality in the Alto Vicentino area of the province of Vicenza. For an entire day, the historic center transforms into a large exhibition space dedicated to agriculture, the environment, hunting, and the rural traditions of the region.

Animals, agricultural machinery, and ancient crafts

The heart of the fair lies in its animal exhibitions: poultry and farm animals, eagles and falcons, working dogs and truffle dogs, cattle, horses, donkeys, and mini ponies. Alongside the animals, there is space for agricultural machinery, with a functioning mini-thresher and live demonstrations of old-fashioned crafts, in a journey that narrates the peasant civilization of the Vicentino area.

Market, gastronomy, and entertainment

Along the town's streets, the traditional exhibition market unfolds with local products and stalls. For families, there are rides, bouncy castles, a panoramic train, old-fashioned games, a drone show, and themed entertainment. To complete the day, a rich gastronomic stand offers the flavors of the region.

Organized by the Municipality of Malo in collaboration with Pro Loco, the Santa Croce Fair is one of the most eagerly awaited spring events in the town, attracting visitors from all over the Alto Vicentino and celebrating the bond between the town and its countryside.
