Three nights of great rock music with free admission in Piazza Cavour, in the heart of Anagni
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Anagni Rock is the festival that brings rock music to the heart of the historic center of Anagni, a charming town in the Ciociaria area, in the province of Frosinone, Lazio. Launched just a few years ago, the event has quickly won over a loyal audience thanks to a simple and winning formula: three consecutive nights of major live concerts, completely free of charge, held in one of the city's most evocative squares.
The beating heart of the festival is Piazza Cavour, a panoramic terrace overlooking the valley and a central hub of local life. Here, a stage is set up that transforms into an open-air arena for three summer nights. Anagni, famous as the "City of Popes" for being the birthplace of several pontiffs and the site of the historic "slap" to Boniface VIII, provides a unique medieval backdrop where ancient stone walls frame electric guitars and the most famous riffs in rock history.
The Anagni Rock program is built around tribute bandsโensembles that recreate the repertoire of music's greatest names with care and passion. In past editions, the audience has relived the energy of Vasco Rossi, the power of AC/DC, and the atmosphere of Aerosmith, in a journey that weaves together Italian rock and international legends. Each evening features a different artist or band, catering to the tastes of fans of every generation.
Beyond the concerts, the event is a gathering point for the community and visitors alike. Summer evenings in the square are complemented by the liveliness of local bars, strolls through medieval alleys, and the discovery of Anagni's monumental treasures, from the Cathedral of Santa Maria to the Palace of Boniface VIII. The free, open-air nature of the festival makes it a perfect outing for families, young people, and music lovers.
Anagni Rock is part of the rich calendar of summer events that enliven the town of Anagni, confirming the city's commitment to combining historical heritage with contemporary culture, offering residents and tourists in the province of Frosinone another reason to enjoy summer nights in Lazio.
At the moment, no official information has been released regarding a new edition of Anagni Rock for 2026. The festival, which in previous seasons brought Piazza Cavour in Anagni to life with three free evenings of tribute bands, does not appear in the Estate Anagnina 2026 program released by the Municipality. Information on this page will be updated as soon as the organizers confirm the event, along with new dates and the concert program.
By car: Anagni is accessible via the A1 Rome-Naples motorway, taking the Anagni-Fiuggi exit, just a few kilometers from the historic center.
