The summer festival of the ANA Group on the Pinè Plateau
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Alpini Festival is the signature summer event organized by the ANA Group (National Alpini Association) of Baselga di Pinè, located in the province of Trento, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. Founded in 1931, the local Alpini group has been celebrating this community gathering for decades, bringing together members, families, friends, and supporters to honor the core values of the Alpine spirit: memory, solidarity, deep attachment to the land, and volunteerism.
The festival is much more than a simple gathering; it is a time for the Baselga di Pinè community to come together and pay tribute to the Alpini and their history. The program, traditionally held over a weekend in July, balances moments of reflection with festive conviviality. The event includes commemorations for the fallen, the blessing of local crucifixes scattered throughout the area, and performances by the ANA Choir, which accompanies the festivities with traditional Alpine songs.
The heart of the event is the Holy Mass celebrated at the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta in Baselga di Pinè, followed by celebrations at the group's headquarters. Here, the Alpini prepare authentic Trentino cuisine, with traditional local dishes served under the marquee, while the day continues with music, dancing, and entertainment for all ages. It is the perfect opportunity to experience the genuine spirit of mountain festivals, where hospitality and a sense of belonging matter most.
Like all branches of the National Alpini Association, the Baselga di Pinè group serves as a vital volunteer hub for the community. The festival represents the most visible expression of a year-round commitment that includes charity work, land maintenance, and the preservation of the historical memory of the Pinè Plateau.
For 2026, the ANA Group of Baselga di Pinè has confirmed its intention to renew its Alpini Festival, a traditional summer event in the municipality of Baselga di Pinè, in Trentino-Alto Adige. At the moment, the official dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been published. In previous years, the festival has taken place over a weekend in July, featuring Holy Mass at the parish church, traditional Trentino cuisine prepared by the 'penne nere', and performances by the ANA Choir. The detailed program will be announced by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event. For updated information, we recommend contacting the Alpini Group of Baselga di Pinè directly.
