The 'Penne Nere' Festival
Alpini di Bovezzo in Festa is the annual event organised by the Gruppo Alpini di Bovezzo (Alpini Group of Bovezzo), a municipality at the entrance to Valle Trompia, in the province of Brescia. Like many Alpine festivals in the Brescia region, it takes place over a weekend and focuses on the values of the 'penne nere': solidarity, remembrance, community spirit, and a love for good food.
Traditional Cuisine and Evenings Together
The heart of the festival is the food stand, where every evening the Alpini and volunteers prepare traditional dishes, from mountain cuisine to Brescia specialties, to be enjoyed at outdoor tables. The 2026 edition of Alpini di Bovezzo in Festa takes place from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14. For three days, the Alpini Group of Bovezzo (BS) will liven up the town with its traditional food stand, live music evenings, and moments dedicated to the values of Alpine soldiers.
