An Opera Grand Gala in the heart of the Alessandria area

The Alexandria Opera Festival is a traveling opera festival that visits the most picturesque villages and locations in the Province of Alessandria, in Piedmont. Now in its fourth edition, it is promoted by the Lyricum association with the support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Alessandria and the patronage of local municipalities. The festival brings great operatic music out of traditional theaters, choosing courtyards, squares, historic palaces, and churches as natural stages.

The Avolasca stop

The Municipality of Avolasca, a small village of just over two hundred inhabitants nestled in the Tortona hills at an altitude of about 425 meters, hosts one of the most anticipated evenings of the program. Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 9:00 PM, the parish church will host an Opera Grand Gala with free admission: a concert featuring the most beloved arias and pieces from the operatic repertoire, from great Italian composers to the most famous works of the European tradition.

The Avolasca event holds special significance: the evening is dedicated to the memory of Luciano Mariano, a key figure and great supporter of the festival.
