Multi-make vintage car and motorcycle rally in Alba Adriatica
Alba su di Giri is the summer event dedicated to lovers of historic motors, held in Alba Adriatica, a well-known seaside resort in the province of Teramo, Abruzzo. Born from the initiative of the Val Vibrata Adriatica Autoraduni association, in collaboration with the Club 500isti Abruzzo-Pescara, the rally transforms the seafront and city squares into a true open-air museum, where vintage cars and motorcycles of all makes parade to the applause and admiration of the public.
The format is that of a multi-make rally: not just one brand, but dozens of automotive and motorcycle manufacturers represented by carefully restored models. Fiat 500s, vintage roadsters, historic sedans, and two-wheelers from every era are displayed in the morning, offering visitors the chance to admire the history of Italian and European motoring up close. Recent editions have featured over two hundred vehicles, a testament to the event's growing success.
The most anticipated moment is the parade: after the exhibition, the vehicles start their engines and drive in a procession through the streets of Alba Adriatica, passing through iconic landmarks in the center and continuing along the coast. The roar of vintage engines accompanies the crowds gathered along the route, in an atmosphere of great celebration and camaraderie. The parade then reaches the neighboring towns of the Val Vibrata for a social gathering featuring an aperitif, lunch, and live musical entertainment.
Alba su di Giri is not just a rally for enthusiasts, but an event deeply rooted in the local area: it involves the municipal administrations of Alba Adriatica and neighboring towns, local automotive clubs, and merchants, helping to bring the Teramo Riviera to life during the summer. The event is part of a wider calendar of car rallies promoted by Val Vibrata Adriatica Autoraduni along the coast and the Abruzzo hinterland.
Whether you are a collector, a fan of automotive history, or simply a curious vacationer on the Abruzzo coast, Alba su di Giri offers a day dedicated to nostalgia and mechanical beauty. It is an opportunity to discover Alba Adriatica, its Blue Flag beaches, and the hospitality of the Teramo province, all while vintage engines take center stage on the seafront.
