The Italian AiCS youth beach soccer championship on the Adriatic coast
The Youth Summer League of AiCS beach soccer stops every summer in Alba Adriatica, a renowned seaside resort on the Teramo coast in Abruzzo, located on the so-called Spiaggia d'Argento. For three days, the beach promenade transforms into a true playing arena where hundreds of young athletes compete for victory in the Italian youth beach soccer championship organized by AiCS (Italian Association for Culture and Sport).
The event takes place in the beach arena set up at the Al Faro Beach & Wellness establishment, on Lungomare Guglielmo Marconi, in the town of Alba Adriatica (province of Teramo). The event is organized by AiCS in collaboration with Sport in Tour and the Italian Football Confederation, with the support of the municipal administration, and represents one of the most popular stages of the national circuit.
The tournament is open to Under 9, Under 11, Under 13, Under 15, Under 17, and Under 19 categories, with teams arriving not only from Abruzzo but from various Italian regions. The squads face each other in group stages and knockout rounds, featuring spectacular dives on the sand, acrobatic shots, and the typical rhythm of beach soccer.
The Alba Adriatica stage is part of the calendar of twelve official Youth Summer League stops, which visit seaside resorts across the entire peninsula. The winning teams and finalists earn a pass to the final event in Battipaglia, where the AiCS Beach Soccer Scudetto and the AiCS Beach Soccer Italian Cupโthe most prestigious titles of the seasonโare awarded.
Beyond the sporting dimension, the event is an important tourism driver for Alba Adriatica: the families following the young footballers enliven the promenade and the beach clubs of the Teramo coast, in one of the events that characterize the sporting summer of the Spiaggia d'Argento alongside beach volleyball, beach rugby, and the evening shows in the beach arena. Admission for the public to watch the matches is free.
The 2026 Alba Adriatica stage, scheduled from June 26 to 28, brought over 160 young athletes divided into 15 teams to the Spiaggia d'Argento. Here are some results from the finals: in the Under 11 category, Academy Samb won (3-1 against L'Etoile, with Martinsicuro in third); in the Under 13, Aston Birra prevailed (4-3 on penalties against Nautica Massetti); in the Under 15, Murena Tortoreto triumphed (6-1 against Martinsicuro); in the Under 17, Imperial Beach won (2-1 against Lato Sud Beach Soccer Tortoreto). The winning teams earned their pass to the national finals in Battipaglia.
