The festival of Valtellina agriculture
Agri Valtellina is one of the most cherished agricultural events in the province of Sondrio, established in 1986 and hosted ever since in the hamlet of Poira di Colorina, in Bassa Valtellina. For three days, the location becomes a meeting point for breeders, farmers, and families, in a grand celebration centered on mountain livestock farming and the valley's traditions.
Livestock shows
The heart of the event are the two major cattle shows: the Regional Brown Breed Show and the Provincial Friesian Breed Show, with awards for the best animals. These are opportunities to admire the best of Valtellina breeding and to reflect, also through dedicated conferences, on the role of breeders as guardians of biodiversity.
Markets, tastings, and traditions
Alongside the shows, Agri Valtellina offers markets, tastings of typical products, the Agri-Family area designed for children, equestrian shows, and convivial moments such as the pizzoccherata, the Valtellina lunch, country dancing, and the Agri-Party. There are also exhibitions dedicated to sheep wool crafts and mountain photography. A complete festival, telling the agricultural and cultural identity of Valtellina.

The 40th edition of Agri Valtellina, forty years after its first in 1986, takes place from April 17 to 19, 2026, in Poira di Colorina. Three days dedicated to Valtellina livestock farming and traditions, with the major livestock shows, markets, tastings, and convivial moments that characterize the event.
