The great evenings of the music festival in the park of Villa Torlonia in San Mauro Pascoli
acieloaperto is the travelling music review that for over ten years has animated the summer of the Cesena area and the Savio Valley, organised by the cultural association RetroPop Live. The festival takes place in multiple venues including the Rocca Malatestiana in Cesena, the river park of Santa Sofia, the Parco di Ponente in Cesenatico and, above all, the park of Villa Torlonia - Parco Poesia Pascoli in San Mauro Pascoli, in the province of Forlì-Cesena. It is precisely here, in the green estate linked to the memory of the poet Giovanni Pascoli, that the concluding and most popular evenings of the entire event are held.
The 2026 edition, the fourteenth, bears the evocative title "Cuori in fiamme - la musica brucia ancora" (Hearts on Fire - music still burns) and runs from the end of June until August 23rd. In San Mauro Pascoli, the festival reserves its grand finale: two evenings, on August 22nd and 23rd, which draw a crowd from all over Romagna and beyond to the park of Villa Torlonia. On August 22nd, the stage will be graced by Subsonica, a historic electronic rock band from Turin, celebrating thirty years of career with the tour linked to their new album "Terre Rare"; August 23rd will feature Tash Sultana, an Australian multi-instrumentalist, for the only Italian date of her 2026 tour.
The park of Villa Torlonia is not just a concert venue: it is a place of Pascolian memory, immersed in greenery and just a short walk from the centre of San Mauro Pascoli. The concert area is accessible on foot along the cycle paths connecting the car parks to the villa, and the setup includes multiple stages, refreshment areas, and services designed for a relaxed evening experience, arriving early to also enjoy the opening bands.
acieloaperto pays great attention to the experiential dimension: each evening features emerging artists as support acts, food stalls, plastic-free bars, and initiatives focused on environmental sustainability. The festival's philosophy is to combine great live music with the promotion of the Romagna region, transforming each concert into an event to be experienced from the afternoon until late at night.
The XIV edition of acieloaperto, titled "Cuori in fiamme - la musica brucia ancora" (Hearts on Fire - music still burns), finds its grand finale in San Mauro Pascoli. In the park of Villa Torlonia - Parco Poesia Pascoli, two consecutive evenings will feature two of the most anticipated names of the Italian musical summer.
On August 22nd, Subsonica, the Turin band symbolising Italian electronic rock, returns to celebrate thirty years of career (1996-2026) with the tour linked to "Terre Rare", their eleventh studio album: it's the only date in Romagna of their summer tour. On August 23rd, the festival closes with Tash Sultana, the Australian multi-instrumentalist capable of building entire sonic architectures live on her own, for the only Italian date of her new world tour.
Concert starts in the evening; gates open and opening bands in the afternoon/early evening.
The two evenings are part of the travelling acieloaperto festival, which in other locations (Cesena, Cesenatico, Santa Sofia) hosts artists including La Niña, Cosmo, I Cani, White Lies, and Mannarino.
The park of Villa Torlonia is located at via Silvio Corbari, in San Mauro Pascoli (FC). By car from the A14 motorway, exit at Rimini Nord or Cesena, then take the Via Emilia/SS9. By train, the reference station is Savignano-San Mauro-Bellaria on the Bologna-Rimini line, a few kilometres away.
Several free parking areas are indicated and recommended, connected to the concert area via signposted cycle paths. A shuttle service is available for the elderly, people with disabilities, and families.
Gates generally open in the late afternoon (around 6:30 PM), with opening bands on stage around 7:00 PM and the main concert in the evening. Tickets are on sale through TicketOne, Ticketmaster, and Live Nation circuits. It is recommended to purchase in advance and download the digital ticket with QR code beforehand.
