About A Teatro con QuinTeatro

A Teatro con QuinTeatro is the theatre festival that brings the Sala Polifunzionale of the San Michele all'Adige Town Hall to life every February, in the Piana Rotaliana area of the province of Trento. Organized by the QuinTeatro Cultural Association, it features comedies in the Trentino dialect performed by local amateur troupes, alongside an afternoon show for families, with affordable, flat-rate ticket pricing.

A Teatro con QuinTeatro: February theatre in San Michele all'Adige

Every February, the Sala Polifunzionale of the Town Hall in San Michele all'Adige, located on Via Prepositura, transforms into a charming village theatre thanks to the A Teatro con QuinTeatro festival. The initiative is promoted by the QuinTeatro Cultural Association, a local cultural volunteer group, with the support of the Pro Loco Tourist Consortium and the Municipality of San Michele all'Adige, in the heart of the Piana Rotaliana, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige).

The Trentino dialect takes centre stage

The festival's core theme is Trentino dialect theatre: brilliant two-act comedies performed by local amateur dramatic companies, which ironically recount village life, small-town rivalries, family dynamics, and human frailties. It is a popular, heartfelt form of theatre that makes the audience laugh while helping them recognise themselves in the characters on stage.

In addition to the Saturday evening performances, the programme always includes an afternoon show dedicated to families and children, with reduced-price tickets designed to introduce the youngest audience members to live theatre.

A community festival

A Teatro con QuinTeatro began as a community project and has since become a staple of the Rotaliana winter, consistently selling out the venue. Ticket prices remain intentionally low and uniform for everyone, reflecting the association's popular and inclusive ethos. For those seeking an authentic evening filled with dialect-driven laughter and the warmth of a local audience, this is one of the most genuine highlights of the Piana Rotaliana theatre season.

A Teatro con QuinTeatro — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of A Teatro con QuinTeatro took place in San Michele all'Adige with four events in February: three evening comedies in the Trentino dialect and one afternoon show for families. A programme entirely dedicated to local popular theatre, featuring Trentino amateur troupes and a production for children.

The 2026 edition of A Teatro con QuinTeatro brought four performances to the Sala Polifunzionale of the San Michele all'Adige Town Hall, spread throughout the month of February, between Valentine's Day and the end of the month. The proven formula was confirmed: dialect comedies on Saturday evenings and an afternoon dedicated to families. The festival reaffirmed its popular appeal with affordable, flat-rate tickets, following the success of previous editions.
