The historic center becomes an open-air illustrated book
A Fairy Tale Carnival is the Carnival celebration of Concorezzo, in the Province of Monza and Brianza, designed for children and families. The narrative magic is the common thread: for an afternoon, the historic center transforms into an open-air illustrated book, where every shop window and every corner becomes part of a great story to discover.
The heart of the event is the "Fairy Tale Hunt", a large treasure hunt that winds through the town streets. Children, equipped with the "Fairy Tale Book" collected for free in the preceding days from shops, the Oratory, and the library, must solve riddles and identify objects displayed in shop windows to complete their story. A game that blends imagination, observation, and discovery of the town.
The celebration continues with the masked parade, which starts from the Church Square towards the San Luigi Oratory, where it concludes with a live Disney song show and magic tricks for the little ones. A colorful day that involves the entire community, from costumed children to the shopkeepers who liven up the streets.
Organized by the Municipality of Concorezzo together with the Oratory and the town's shopkeepers, A Fairy Tale Carnival is an example of a grassroots popular festival, which uses Carnival as an occasion to come together and bring the historic center to life. An event that every year offers an afternoon of smiles in the heart of Brianza.
The 2026 edition of A Fairy Tale Carnival takes place on Saturday, February 21, in the historic center of Concorezzo. Narrative magic is at the heart of the celebration, with the great treasure hunt "Fairy Tale Hunt," the masked parade, and the final show at the San Luigi Oratory.
