Four evenings of solidarity, good food, and music in Monteobizzo di Pavullo nel Frignano
The Provincial ASEOP Festival is one of the most cherished summer events in the area of Pavullo nel Frignano, in the heart of the Apennines of the Province of Modena, in Emilia-Romagna. Reaching its fourteenth edition in 2026, the event takes place in the charming hillside hamlet of Monteobizzo and transforms four August evenings into a grand moment of community and solidarity.
Behind the food stalls and concerts lies a precise mission: every donation collected during the festival supports ASEOP, the Association for the Support of Pediatric Hematology Oncology, founded in Modena in 1988 by a group of parents. The association manages the Case di Fausta, facilities that offer completely free hospitality to children with cancer and leukemia treated at the Policlinico di Modena and their families, often from distant regions of Italy and abroad. Participating in the festival therefore means concretely contributing to this hospitality project.
The food and wine offering is one of the event's strengths. Every evening, from 6 PM to midnight, the food stalls are open, offering traditional cuisine from the Frignano area, a pizzeria, and a pinseria. Special attention is paid to everyone's needs: there is also a gluten-free food stall, a sign of the care with which volunteers welcome every visitor.
The evenings are marked by live music, folk orchestras, DJ sets, and concerts that liven up the festival square. In previous editions, great names of Italian popular and light music have performed, along with very popular dance nights. There is also a dedicated area for children, with entertainment and inflatables, making the festival an ideal destination for families too.
The Provincial ASEOP Festival is made possible by the commitment of numerous local volunteer organizations that support the association: the Parish of Monteobizzo, Avap Croce Verde Pavullo, the Gruppo Alpini, the Gruppo Paracadutisti, Avo, and Avis of Pavullo. It is this network of solidarity, along with the generosity of visitors, that makes the event a concrete example of a community caring for the most vulnerable.
The 2026 edition of the Provincial ASEOP Festival is confirmed in Monteobizzo, a hamlet of Pavullo nel Frignano, from Friday, August 7 to Monday, August 10, 2026, opening every evening from 6 PM to midnight.
The extensive gastronomic offer is confirmed, with traditional cuisine, pizzeria, pinseria, and a gluten-free stall, accompanied by children's entertainment and inflatables. The evenings will be enlivened by live music: the detailed artistic program, with the schedule for the four evenings, will be announced by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event. Admission is free, and the proceeds support the Case di Fausta of ASEOP.
The festival is held in Monteobizzo, a hillside hamlet in the Municipality of Pavullo nel Frignano (Province of Modena), in the Emilian Apennines.
By car: from Modena, take the SS12 dell'Abetone e del Brennero to Pavullo nel Frignano (approx. 45 km), then continue towards the hamlet of Monteobizzo following the signs. The festival has parking areas near the square.
Open every evening from 6 PM to midnight. Admission is free; contributions are made through purchases at the stalls, the proceeds of which are entirely donated to ASEOP.
