The Women's Day Festival in Ternengo is one of the most cherished events on the calendar of the Pro Loco Ternenghese APS, the volunteer association that has been enlivening the social life of this small town in the Province of Biella, Piedmont, for years. On March 8th, International Women's Day, the village transforms into a place of conviviality where the women of the town and surrounding areas are the absolute stars.

Musical aperitif and convivial lunch

The heart of the day is a lunch dedicated to women accompanied by live musical entertainment. The festival kicks off in the late morning with a musical aperitif, a welcoming moment that immediately sets a warm and informal tone for the event. This is followed by lunch, the perfect opportunity to catch up, chat, and celebrate this occasion together in a relaxed, family atmosphere.

Ternengo, a village to discover

With just over two hundred and sixty inhabitants, Ternengo is an authentic hillside village nestled at an altitude of about 440 meters, immersed in the landscape of the Biella region. Despite its small size, the town holds a respectable heritage: the parish church with the famous altarpiece by Lanino, the Oratory of Saints Fabiano and Sebastiano, and the ruins of the Avogadro Castle. The Pro Loco works all year round to promote this territory through events such as the Wool Festival, Ternengo in Festa, and, of course, the Women's Day Festival.
